A Data-Driven Report by CV Outreach on the Health Epidemic the Church is Uniquely Positioned to Address
This is the first of many reports we hope to release on sociological trends that churches can address. This report leverages medical studies, aggergate internet data, and online user behaviors.
We chose to research the topic of loneliness in our first report for three reasons. Loneliness has far-reaching impact on our culture, it’s a rare opportunity for the church to directly impact a public health crisis, and it’s a call to go back to the basics of what living out our faith looks like.
Our hope is that the information in this report will help churches and ministries find actionable ways to effectively spread the Gospel far and wide.
“During my years caring for patients, the most common pathology I saw was not heart disease or diabetes; it was loneliness.”
- Dr. Vivek Murthy, Former Surgeon General of the United States“The internet is a fantastic tool, but it has also brought to light the more significant issue of loneliness. CV Outreach’s report provides data, perspective, and how the church can position itself to address this digital pandemic. Praying church leaders read it and do something with it.”
- Jay Kranda, Online Campus Pastor, Saddleback Church“The data doesn't lie! The question I get more than anything else from church leaders is how do we reach millennials? This report will give you great insight into that answer, and also in how we can reach the community as a whole around us, as the data shows that loneliness effects all generations in all regions of our country.”
